Brian Gray began his romance with the theater at age 8. He started his improv career in 2002 with the No Parking Players, a short form troupe at Carnegie Mellon. During his time there, he served as Artistic Director of the group and performed in an improvised one act festival called Death, Love, and a Mongoose. In 2006, he co-founded Irony City, and has been directing and performing with the group since.
In addition, Brian has been a member of the Steel City Improv Theater house teams the Intervention and the Union, and performs regularly with The Death Show. He teaches and coaches at the theater and has watched and studied improv in eight cities in three countries. |

Nilesh Shah began improvising in 2004 and is a graduate of the Second City-Detroit Conservatory program and Writing program. At the Second City training center, Nilesh co-wrote sketch shows Monday is a Four Letter Word and Massages From The Surgeon General and performed in Massages and Joke Jams: NOW That's What I Call Writing 5! He was also a member of the improv troupes Vegan Meat Locker and Project 2 that performed regularly in the Detroit metro area. He was a frequent performer in Dungeons and Dragons Improv. Nilesh has been a proud member of Irony City since 2006. When Nilesh is not improvising, you can usually find him calculating p-values or eating burritos. |
Greg Gillotti has been improvising since 2006 and been performing in Pittsburgh as an actor or musician since 2002. In his spare time, Greg is a comedy nerd. |
Amy Portenlanger auditioned for Irony City in 2006 because they didn’t require a monologue, and she’s been hooked on improv ever since. She has a B.A. in theatre, was classically trained at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, and has had acting experience in both NYC and Pittsburgh. Fun highlights include playing Beatrice in Much Ado, Ruth in Blithe Spirit, and winning “best actress” at short film festival NYC Midnight Run. When she's not performing, she is helping people communicate. |
Jocelyn Snyder has been on stage since she was a toddler. The instant she was in a pink tutu and spandex, she realized her passion for the stage. Since then: acting, singing jazz, and dancing around Pittsburgh. Also: earning a BA in Musical Theater from Point Park University, volunteer teaching an acting and improv class at the Instebenziswano high school in association with the University of Cape Town in South Africa, and teaching ESL in Korea and Japan. |
